  Jazz, Miles Davis, Coltrane, Beatles, Jethro Tull, Split Enz, Weather Report, too many to name

• Movies:

  Lord of the Rings, Finding Forrester, Shawshank Redemption, anything with Viggo Mortensen in it, Lonesome Dove

• Movies I want to see:

  the early dadaist and surrealist films

• Books:

  Lonesome Dove, The Known World, way too many to mention

• Books I want to read:

  more of McCormack's novels, many of the classics, a couple of shelves of hardbacks I've bought but not read

• Quotes:

  I'm a calligrapher and art journaler so there are way way too many to mention. But I do like when Gus tells Call in Lonesome Dove, “I'll cross the hills where I please.” Words to live by.

• Foods:

  I love all except avocados. My current favorite is a long rising loaf of crusty country French bread. I love to cook and believe in the slow foods movement.

• Places:

  I'd love to go back to New Zealand and Brazil. I love a forrested, rocky coastline like in Maine or Washington. I love New York and Paris and Chicago and other big cities with world class museums.

• Places I want to visit:

  I'd love to worship at the ancient rock sites of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. And all the great or modern art museums I've never visited
