About me:
Retired Volunteer Firefighter in a small city I lived here in Texas. I did enter the Submarine Service at 21 and always felt I did nothing special but in retrospect I see I was again one of the chosen few who wanted to serve my country. Presently retired Federal Government DOD but will be taking a test soon to serve my country again as a Foreign Service Officer if not I will be back to work for the government in some capacity.

I'm interested in
I hope everyone at sometime volunteers their service in some capacity either in your city or a volunteer organization such as Red Cross. While I was young I worked as a volunteer with Red Cross, Muscular Dystrophy Association and also ran for City Council. It not only helped me to be a better person but helped me to understand different cultures. Another program you might be interested in is “ride along” program. Most cities allow citizens ride with police officers which I did for 6 years.
