I'm interested in

My significant other has informed me that I'm no longer allowed to deny being a nerd. I enjoy music, crochet, attempts at cooking, reading, games, and I'm in my first D&D campaign. I spend a lot of time with my two-year old son.

  • I don't have any specific favourites. Showtunes, techno, 80s dance, country, singer-songwriter, etc. I'm rather fond of Weird Al Yankovic, Tom Lehrer, and pretty much anything that is featured on the Dr Demento show, my current favourites being "I Like You" by Lorne Ellliott and "What I Want is a Proper Cup of Coffee," as performed by Trout Fishing in America.

  • Musicals, horror, and psychological thrillers. Phantom of the Opera and Labyrinth top the list, tied for first, with Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street coming in at second. I also love mobster films like The Godfather and Goodfellas.

  • Indiana Jones (I've yet to see ANY of them); and I want to have a Star Wars marathon one day. My friend informs me that this takes 13 hours and 36 minutes.

  • Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, Dune, anything by Mary Higgins Clark; My significant other has gotten me into the Saga of Recluse; I have read the first one (Magic of Recluse), and will be starting the second one soon.

  • The rest of the Dune series, and naturally the rest of the Saga of Recluse. The SO has a lot of fantasy that I'd like to delve into as well, and I have Hood by Stephen Lawhead that I have yet to start.

  • Sushi, good barbecue, oriental, potatoes (I'm Irish, what can I say?), green apples, homestyle cooking (Golden Corral type food); I am just starting to begin my own adventures in cooking; my endeavours generally end in something being burnt or melted.

  • Downtown San Antonio; Abilene, TX

  • Ireland (especially Kilkenny), Germany, England (London), Australia
