I am a partnered gay male in rural western MD mountains. Politically, I have historically been independent, until Dec. 12, 2000. On that date, George Dubya Bush stole the Presidential election from Al Gore, with help from his buddies in the Supreme Court. On that date, I became a staunch card-carrying Democrat. I will, for the rest of my life, support causes of the Democratic Party.
