I was born on Krypton. I was a bit over-zealous in my exploits, and was branded “an extremist”. After a failed coup of the sitting paper government I was banished to the Phantom Zone for all eternity. I am Zod, therefore no prison can contain me. I was freed some time after that and I traveled to Earth to destroy the last legacy of Jor-El (tha being who defied me on Krypton), his only son Kal-El.
